Desert Shores

Desert Shores

Developed by RA Homes in 1988, Desert Shores is a 682-acre, resort-style community located fairly close to the foothills of northwest Las Vegas. This is a private community, and most of the subdivisions are gated, but not all of them are.

If you’ve never been to Desert Shores, it’s in a nice area. South of Desert Shores is The Pueblo, as well as Summerlin. To the east of Desert Shores is US-95, and to the north is Lone Mountain. To the west is Sun City Summerlin.

Overall, the location is convenient and close to amenities but not too close to the rush of The Strip and Downtown Las Vegas.

Desert Shores’ main centerpieces are its four man-made lakes—Lake Sarah, Lake Lindsey, Lake Maddison, and Lake Jacqueline. There are a lot of trees dotting the shorelines, giving the community an upscale, well-maintained feel.

Desert Shores Homes

Desert Shores is an income-diverse community with custom single-family homes, townhomes, and condos across a broad price range.

To buy a home, condo, or townhome in Desert Shores, you can expect to pay anywhere from $200K to $2MM+.

Residences also vary significantly in size, anywhere from ~700 square feet to ~4,000+ square feet.

While not a massive community, Desert Shores does have 22 subdivisions and 3,351 residential units, meaning there is a lot of opportunity for active homebuyers to find a home.

Homes in Desert Shores are older than what you find in many other Las Vegas communities, having been built in the late 80s and throughout the 90s. For this reason, you’ll find a lot of beautiful remodels here.

If you prefer older homes that have been remodeled with contemporary upgrades, Desert Shores is an ideal choice.
