Mountain’s Edge is a beautiful 3500-acre master planned community in Enterprise that was developed in 2004. It’s a fairly large community with more than 12,000 homes and over 50 neighborhoods.

Due to its size, location, and amenities, it was one of the best-selling MPCs in the country in 2007. Mountain’s Edge has been growing more each year.

Where Is Mountain’s Edge Las Vegas?

Mountain’s Edge is located in the southwest part of the Las Vegas Valley. It’s in the unincorporated town of Enterprise, about 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.

Las Vegas area residents who want space and distance from The Strip may find Mountain’s Edge to be the perfect place to call home.

The community is also close to the Red Rock National Conservation Area, making it perfect for nature enthusiasts.

Mountain’s Edge is good for families that want a quiet community away from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas.

While the distance is certainly a good thing for many families, it does mean that residents have to commute through traffic if they work in the heart of Las Vegas.

The good news is that Mountain’s Edge is close to the 15 Freeway and the 215, which makes the drive a bit easier.

Access to these freeways is especially important for those who need to commute to The Strip or Summerlin.

Mountain’s Edge Parks

Mountain’s Edge has four main parks, in addition to smaller parks scattered near the community. The main parks provide residents with playgrounds for kids, fitness opportunities, dog parks, trails, and much more.

Mountain’s Edge Regional Park

Mountain’s Edge Regional Park (MERP) spans an impressive 250 acres and has within it distinct areas, such as Desert Diamond Baseball Complex and Bike Town.

Desert Diamond

As part of the MERP, Desert Diamond Baseball Complex has four baseball fields, a concession stand, and lots of parking for families. Many people agree that the view of the Spring Mountains from the baseball fields is outstanding.

Bike Town

As for Bike Town, it is a fun area for parents and their children. It has mini-streets, crosswalks, and stop signs for safety. Additionally, it has a walking trail, large lighted fields (multipurpose), one-wall handball, and covered seating.

One other thing….Mountain’s Edge Regional Park has a custom climbing structure that rises to about 30 feet in height. It allows kids to climb up the inside under the supervision of their parents, who can watch them through the climbing rings.

Exploration Peak Park

Exploration Peak Park is a substantial 80 acres and features playfields, horseshoes, volleyball, and picnic areas. Additionally, there is a covered wagon play structure (Old Western theme) for kids, as well as an outdoor amphitheater.

Connected to the park is Exploration Peak Trail, which offers residents an amazing view of the entire community from a lofty 2,800+ feet. Once you get to the top of the hill, you get to enjoy a wide view of the Las Vegas Valley and The Strip.

The top of Exploration Peak is reached by a dirt trail, which is mostly exposed to the sun, although there is one covered bench along the way and one at the peak.

Nathaniel Jones Park

Located off Mountains Edge Parkway is Nathaniel Jones Park, which is a truly beautiful gem and a favorite among many residents.

One of the park’s main features is the splash pad, but there is also a lighted basketball court, covered seating, and a dog park.

Dog owners will be happy to know that the dog portion of the park is divided into three sections—one for large dogs, one for small dogs, and an area for all types of dogs to intermingle.

Paiute Park

Paiute Park is another superb recreation space for residents of Mountain’s Edge. It comes with a basketball court, grassy area, volleyball field, and a play area for kids.
